Although intermittent, that involvement began in the mid-1970s. There are various components of our approach listed but they complement each other to form a very effective whole. We have developed a unique set of pre- and post- release programs that have produced striking reductions in recidivism.   Our programs for staff training go far beyond anything available elsewhere. The education programs we offer for those inmates with mental health issues have proven particularly useful.   The education and involvement of families play important roles in the success of the inmates during both their incarceration and after release.
